Safety & Security of Varianse

Varianse is a regulated broker that is part of a bigger group of companies regulated in different jurisdictions. The Varianse broker itself is a brand name regulated by Mauritius’ Financial Services Commission (FSC) while other companies under the mother company are regulated in various countries. For security measures, there are segregated accounts to make client funds untouchable by the broker, and it is also a part of the compensation fund in case of broker insolvency.

Since Varianse is a true STP broker, they do not provide negative balance protection. Straight-through processing means the broker directly connects traders with liquidity providers, and traders will have to exercise extra caution not to go into a negative balance.

Account types available for traders on Varianse

The three main account types called Classic, ECNpro, and Prime are all offering decent terms for speculating on financial markets. The difference between each account lies in spreads and commissions. While the Classic account is good for beginner traders who want to start with a relatively small budget, it offers zero commissions and tight spreads on major currencies starting from 1 pip. The minimum deposit for Varianse is relatively high, starting from 500 USD on the Classic account. Other accounts offer lower spreads but require a higher initial deposit and have a commission for trading Forex. The ECNpro account has a minimum required deposit of 5,000 USD, with spreads starting from 0.0 pips for major pairs, but requires a commission of 3.5 USD per side per lot. Prime account commissions are negotiable and spreads are also starting from 0.0 pips but require a minimum deposit of 50,000 USD. As we can see Varianse is for traders who have got a minimum of 500 USD to trade and if a trader wants to use a scalping strategy, they will have to open an ECNpro account with a 5,000 USD minimum. Since scalping strategies are sensitive towards a higher spread, it will require substantial capital to start trading on Varianse. Despite the minimum deposit, commissions, and spreads, there are other differences between the three account types, as the Classic account will not provide traders with full market depth and FIX API. The ECNpro account also offers these capabilities but is limited as it won't provide traders with free VPS. While the Prime account offers all these benefits for free to traders with a budget of over 50,000 USD.
