BDSwiss Raw account

BDSwiss Raw account

BDSwiss was founded in 2012 in Cyprus and has managed to increase its customer base to 1.5 million registered users, and now executes over 55 million orders each year.

BDSwiss is authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles with the FSA license number SD047.

There are around 250 assets available for trading with this broker, including currency pairs, commodities, indices, crypto derivatives, and CFDs on stocks.

In order to meet the requirements of different trading styles and different traders, the broker offers the following account types: Cent, Classic, VIP, and Raw. In addition, demo and swap-free accounts (Islamic accounts) are also available. In this article, we’ll discuss the Raw account type in detail and help you determine if it’s the right trading account for you.

The Raw trading account

The raw trading account offered by BDSwiss has the lowest spreads. Spreads on EUR/USD start from as low as 0.3 pips. On the other hand, the broker charges commissions to its clients:

  • A 5 USD commission is charged per traded lot per side for all currency pairs
  • A 5 USD commission is charged per side on commodities
  • A 2 USD commission per side is charged on indices
  • A 0.15% commission is charged on CFDs as Stocks

This account type is best suited for active traders due to the lowest spreads. Traders that place multiple orders prefer to pay higher commissions and save on spreads, as typically they open and close trades within a day.

The account type is best suited for the following trader types:

  • Day traders: Day traders open and close trades within a day to avoid swap fees. They aim to profit from short-term price movements. Day traders typically use technical analysis more than fundamental analysis when making trading decisions.
  • Scalpers: Scalpers are a type of day trader, but they aim to make quick profits from price swings. To remain profitable, they need tight spreads, high liquidity, and good execution speeds.
  • Algorithmic traders: Algorithmic traders also known as quantitative traders, and use computer algorithms and automated trading systems to execute trades. They develop trading systems that are mainly based on probabilities and mathematical models. Algorithmic traders typically trade frequently and they require good hardware and software, high-speed internet connections, and tight spreads.
  • High-frequency traders: High-frequency traders use advanced technology and trading robots to place multiple orders. They aim to make quick profits and mainly use 1-minute timeframes. Low spreads are critical for such traders as even a 0.1 pip difference can make or break a trader.

You should avoid opening a Raw trading account if you are:

  • A swing trader: Swing traders open and keep positions active longer than a day. Sometimes for weeks or even months. Typically swing traders are very selective in their trades, and as a result, place orders much less frequently than day traders.
  • A position trader: Position traders are long-term traders that hold trading positions for weeks, months, or even years. Position traders typically use fundamental analysis to predict market movements.

Both position traders and swing traders prefer low commissions to low spreads because they trade less often.

Comparing the Raw account type to VIP account

BDSwiss offers two account types for professional trading. However, they both are radically different from each other. As already mentioned, the Raw account type is for active traders, and the VIP account type is best suited for swing and position traders.
